Thoughts for Today - "Patience: A Virtue!"
Patience is defined as the capacity to tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without becoming angry or upset...Patience is a virtue, an attribute exhibited by one who has high moral standards, but sad to
say, not all possess it...Humans by nature, with their will powers, tend to always want what they want and have it their way; they also have a strong dislike for waiting and delays, which they often view as unnecessary...
At the root of many of life's irreversible errors and mistakes, you would find a seed of 'Impatience'; the inability to wait and endure a temporal uncomfortable situation; either born out of a heart of greed, envy, jealousy or unhealthy competition...
A word said a second earlier than it should or a step that should have been taken a minute later, could spell doom or incur an irreparable damage..."There is no wrong time, only wrong people using time wrongly; Every time is always the right time, if its spent doing the right thing!"
"Time is not our friend, yet it is never wrong; it becomes friendly only when we know how to use it right!"
Patience can be a proof of good moral values, just as impatience could be an indication of a faulty moral foundation...Patience is the only major value every new born baby or child lacks and must be taught to imbibe; A baby or child does not understand what it means to wait or endure, he wants what he wants and that's all he knows...Therefore, one who is yet to imbibe the virtue of patience; is yet a child, the age not withstanding, as maturity is never a measure of age at all points... There is always a good reward for waiting...A 'wise' patient dog would still eat the fattest bone...That's still a true saying!
In life, there is a place for 'your time' and a place for 'God's time' and actually, your time for you could always go wrong but God's time for you would always be right...
Its said that, "God's time is the best", but actually, that does not apply to everyone; "God's clock does not work for all", but for 'His Children' whom He knows by their names and who 'willingly' allow Him lead them...Working by God's clock entails working according to God's Word...You cannot be leading yourself by your own time or will and expect God to lead you by your own chosen time, when He does not even know you nor does He recognize or respect the clock you are using...He says "His ways are not your ways, and His thoughts are higher than your thoughts"...."God's time is the best for you, but not when you're using your clock or your neighbors'!"
"God's time for you is determined by how well you've used your time for Him!"
The devil says: "Bow before me 'now' and I will give you all you 'want' 'now'" but he won't tell you he can't guarantee your tomorrow though; but, God says: "Walk before me and aim perfection, and I will continually supply all your 'needs' according to My riches in Glory today, tomorrow and forever"...
God does not 'waste' time, He only 'takes' time; to perfect that miracle for you and to perfect you for that miracle...Waiting time is not wasting time to a man who has understanding...
The 'Choice' is open..."To wait today and win tomorrow or not to wait today and wail tomorrow"!
Patience (while obeying God's instructions) is a needed virtue, if one must secure a great future!
"Today's extra minute of patience could save from tomorrow's lifetime of regrets!"
